Meringue Cake

Ingredients: 200g butter or margarine 200 g flour, 50 g (2 tablespoons) powdered sugar, vanilla, baking powder, 1, 3 whites egg yolks with 120 g (4 tablespoons) sugar, 3 egg whites whites, 15 chopped nuts;
marmalade or jam.

Preparation: Mix the butter with the flour, baking powder and egg yolks. Knead dough and placed in the refrigerator for half an hour. Mix egg whites with chopped nuts. The dough ready, cut a piece and spread a half inch thick sheet, then insert it in the oven. When is half-baked, remove, Spread with jam or marmalade, pour over the egg whites with nuts and bake again. When ready, cut into squares or diamond shape.
